This book is about guerilla warfare, night fighting, elusive tactics, patriotism, religious liberty and great faith in God. It's about freedom. Every Christian teenager should have an opportunity to read this book. America, as Israel of old, has been "destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hos. 4:6)

A descendant of French Hugenots (Reformers massacred in cold blood on St. Bartholomew's Day in 1672 by the Roman Catholic Church), Francis Marion was an American revolutionary war hero. Born around 1732, the "Swamp Fox" was as well known and hated by the British as Sergeant York was to the Germans in WWI. His nickname was earned as he would strike against the British and vanish away into he morasses of the South.

He rose from private to Brigadier General. He cut his teeth on Indians and eventually commanded the militias of North and South Carolina, driving the British back to Charleston. Upon military retirement, he represented his parish in the state senate and the Constitutional Convention. He voted for federal union.

Frances Marion feared only God. He left a testimony deserving of print and worthy of our time and emulation.
