What a wonderful, unique work of writing by Gipsy Simon Smith. It is a marvelous account of an incredible evangelist. I was genuinely gripped by his humble background and very moved by his own admission of his gypsy lifestyle. He was a man who had incredible faithfulness to the divine call of evangelism. Although poor, he exemplified the rich shades of the meaning of a loving family which he has intended his readers to know through this privileged book. I know that it will be loved by young and old alike, and widely used in our generation. I love the life histories of great men of yesteryear. These short stories, I believe, are superbly done and now restored through this reprint for all to enjoy.
It has been said that every man's learning has depended on the knowledge of others. As this book is passed on, I trust that the love for evangelism will be deepened; the appreciation for the ministry will be learned; and the sacrificial devotion for Christ will be felt even as I was moved by reading this wonderful little book.
