A challenge every sincere Christian faces is making sure he is thinking Biblically and not culturally. The mind of twenty-first century man has become confused in lots of ways and one of those is the way we think about children. Many people think that when money is coming in that God is blessing them. But they think of children as a liability and responsibility and perhaps even a distraction or a nuisance.
God’s viewpoint is totally different. God views a baby as a heritage, a reward, a blessing and a weapon for spiritual warfare. The Bible is full of the concept that children are God’s greatest blessing to a couple.
In Deuteronomy 28 God says you’ll know you’re blessed when you’re fertile in your family, in your field and in your flocks.
