Prayers Offered by Rev. James Shera Montgomery Before US House 1941-1944

A rare, original vintage edition, possibly first edition of what appears to be a limited publishing of the book, "Prayers Offered by the Chaplain Rev. James Shera Montgomery, D.D. at the Opening of the Daily Sessions of the House of Representatives of the United States during the Seventy-Seventh and Seventy Eighth Congresses. (1941-1944)."  Twenty Five Hundred (2500) of these Books were produced for members of Congress and contain the text of the prayers as they were given each session.  The prayers are individually dated for each session of Congress and included the prayer given on December 8th, 1941 following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 that began the US involvement in World War Two.  This book covers the prayers given over the course of the critical war years.  Great original source material, 271 pages with Expedited Shipping!

Condition Note: shelf and cover wear, page ends have minor foxing but the binding is strong and the pages are clean.
