Description

Many Christians today do not realize that there was a Reformation movement in France and Italy, as well as England, Germany, and Northern Europe. This volume includes a total of six true stories of the persecuted Huguenots.

There are three parts to this book:

-A Heroine of the Faith. A narrative of the persecutions which Blanche Gamond, aged about twenty-one years, of St. Paul-Trois-Chateaux, in Dauphiny, endured for the sake of the gospel, having in them surmounted all temptations by the grace and providence of God.

-The Huguenot Galley-Slaves. A narrative extracted from a history of the French Protestants, originally published in the year 1760.

-Part 3, containing accounts from five Huguenots suffering persecution for their faith: M. de Chevenix, the persecuted invalid; M. Fulcrand Rei, the devoted pastor; Jean Migault, the reader of moulle; M. Le Fevre, the prisoner of the galleys; and M. De Morolles, the exile arrested in his flight.
