A very nice, rebound hardcover copy of the 1892 book, "The Life and Times of William L. Yancey" by John Witherspoon DuBose.  A History of Political Parties in the United States, from 1834 to 1864;  Especially as to the origin of the Confederate States of America.  William Lowndes Yancey was a journalist, politician, orator, diplomat and was originally in opposition to the slavery of fellow human beings, he became an American leader of the Southern secession movement as a result of his opposition to the destruction of the US Constitution, the Constitutional rights of the slave states and rights of the individual slave owners.  The Consitutional rights of the individual states of the United States was paramount.  Written by the author, whose life intersected with the life of Yancey, has written a volume full of contemporary and original source material from this very tumultuous time in the history of the United States.  752 pages.
