Description

A very nice, clean hardcover copy of the book, "The Railroads of the Confederacy" by Robert C. Black III.  This volume examines the United States Civil War from theaspect of the railroads.  The railroad system was a vital part of the war as moving troops and supplies was critical.  The railroads proved the way to move both military equipment and men, as well as food and materials for the ecomonies of both the Union and the Confederacy.  This book focuses on the railroads of the Confederate States of America.  By the way, when the Union captured Chattanooga, Tennessee the Confederacy was doomed due to all the railroads that came together in that city.  360 pages with Fast Shipping!

Condition Notes: very nice 1987 hardcover edition with shelf wear, nearly like new, dust jacket, binding and pages all clean and nearly as new.
