Several of the writings appear for the first time in English. The first three volumes are a complete collection of the historical writings of the Fathers, whose permanent value as the primary sources is universally acknowledged. Condition Notes: grades like new  with  most volumes appear near as new. at worst VG++ with shelf wear, strong binding and clean pages.  no writing, marking, highlighting or underlining found.   A very nice copy of this rare set. Maybe the best set I've seen. Vol. 12 has slight stain on page ends appears as the only blemish
