A very nice, very vintage copy of the hardcover book, "The Autobiography of Peter Cartwright" edited by  W. P. Strickland, published in 1857 by Carlton & Porter Publishers.  The autobiography of the great witness for the Lord and old Methodist travelling preacher of the Mississippi Valley, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, Peter Cartwright.  Cartwright, who lost his seat in the US House from Illinois to Abraham Lincoln, was used by the Lord to start the Second Great Awakening in the United States.  An excellant read with 525 pages with Fast Shipping!  

Condition Notes: Graded VG for the age. 1857 Carlton & Porter Publisher  shelf wear, strong binding and clean pages with no writing.  foxing on pages and cover age faded,  see pictures, that show bottom of cover and top of cover. pages are supple and over book is not dry aged.
