The autobiography of the great witness for the Lord and old Methodist travelling preacher of the Mississippi Valley, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, Peter Cartwright. Cartwright, who lost his seat in the US House from Illinois to Abraham Lincoln, was used by the Lord to start the Second Great Awakening in the United States.
