Jacob the Heelgrasper, by Williams, L. Milton [Hardcover, 1907]

Reverend L. Milton Williams was a minister from Oskaloosa, Iowa. He is the author of one other book noted in the front cover of this volume entitled, "Where Art Thou: Spiritual Earthquakes for Saints and Sinners." Not much is known about this minister except these two things.

The book shows in detail the life of Jacob and gives lessons from both his life and the lives of his family members around them. One such lesson is that, despite human intentions, the Christian should never take matters into his own hands. When they do, it always results in the botching of God's relative purposes and more sorrow than necessary for the believer.

Used - Good condition for a 116 year old book. It shows evidence of a well-loved book. Binding is holding up nicely, cover is well worn, some pages are stained, but the book is still well readable. A couple of previous owner notations in the front of the book.
